A Personal History

Our son Michael Reece Davies suffered with Duchenne Musclar Dystrophy. By the time he was ready to start senior school he was beginning to use a wheelchair. This was a very trying time for Michael as he was unable to go to the same school as all his friends and had to attend Colton Hills which was the only local school that catered for both ablebodied and disabled children

However, Michael soon settled in and made lots of friends both able bodied and disabled. One of the highlights of him going to Colton Hills were his trips to Gelliwig House in Porthmadog, the excitement of going away with this friends, his independence for us, brilliant.

So much so we have supported this charity ever since and I have been the Treasurer for many years now.

So happy and proud the charity has been awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.
