Service of Thanksgiving for Baroness Heyhoe Flint

The Service of Thanksgiving for one of our first Patrons in 1981 Rachael Heyhoe Flint took place on Wednesday 8th February 2017.

 

The Charity will be eternally grateful for unique contribution including the Gemini II 70 Minibus that was mentioned in a moving and humorous Eulogy by Angela Rippon to this most wonderful Servant of Wolverhampton.

The trustees intend to include Rachael's name, agreed by her son Ben, who has been made aware of our long term plans to develop Gelliwig.

 

She will have a living memorial that young people from Wolverhampton and beyond will play sport, have fun and engage in positive relationships with others.

 

In that regard she will be joining John Thompson who taught Geography at the Municipal Grammar School when Rachael taught P. E. early in her illustrious career.
