The picture left shows Joe Loss, Vera Lynn and Glenn Miller. Recently the Orchestra that Joe formed has celebrated its 80th Birthday. Before he died Joe passed on the leadership of the talented group of musicians to Todd Miller, pictured below. For twenty years Todd has led the group and for over thirty years they have entertained supporters of the Birch Thompson Memorial Fund at a fundraising event. The annual Dinner Dance is held at the Ramada Park Hall Hotel on the second Saturday in November and the next one for Saturday 10 November 2012 has already been booked. Over 200 people have expressed their interest and hope to be present . |
